آنچه در این کتاب از نظرتان می‌گذرد، یادداشت‌هایی است که من در فاصله سال‌های ۱۳۸۱ تا ۱۳۹۳ نوشته‌ام. درواقع حاصل روزهایی است که با سیمین بهبهانی تماس می‌گرفتم یا به شکل حضوری به دیدارش می‌رفتم. به‌جز این یادداشت‌ها، گفت‌وگوهای مفصلی با سیمین خانم داشته‌ام که باعنوان «سبز و بنفش و نارنجی» در اردیبهشت ۱۳۹۳ به‌وسیله انتشارات نگاه منتشر شد و در خرداد ماه همان سال به چاپ دوم رسید.
