هربار وقتی از سفری به ایران برمی‌گردم، دوست دارم سر فروبیافکنم و برخاک سرزمین‌م بوسه‌ای بیافشانم. این اولین بار بود که چنین حسی نداشتم. برعکس، پاره ای از تن‌م را جا گذاشته بودم پشت خطوط مرزی، خطوط بی‌راه و بی‌روح مرزی. خطوط "مید این بریطانیای کبیر"! پاره از از نگاه من، مانده بود در نگاه دختر هشت ماهه... بلاکش هندوکش...
