داستان «خروس زری، پیرهن پری» یکی از داستان‌های موزیکال ماندگار ایرانی است. این قصه شعر گونه کاری است از شاعر و نویسنده بزرگ معاصر احمد شاملو که رویاهای زیاد و اندیشه های تازه و نو در سر داشت او این قصه را بر اساس داستانی از تولستوی نویسنده بزرگ روس نوشت.
