«رهیافت تطبیقی به فلسفه سهروردی» بررسی تطبیقی فلسفۀ سهروردی با اندیشههای فارابی، ابن سینا، غزالی، ابن رشد، ابن عربی و ملاصدرا است. تحلیل مبانی اندیشه از نخستین رهیافتهای فلسفۀ تطبیقی است، زیرا سنجش فلسفی بدون التزام به مبانی آراء ممکن نیست. اندیشۀ سهروردی برای عرضۀ قرائتی عقلانی از خدا، انسان و جهان، در سنتی ظهور کرد که پیشینۀ آن بر جهانشناسی عقلی متمرکز بود و نمایندۀ آن «حکمت مشاء» است.
