هزاران شعر سه خشتی ، از نیاکان کُردها ، سینه به سینه نقل شده است و بسیاری از این سه خشتی ها در سال های اخیر گردآوری و منتشر شده است. شاعران معاصر و دوستان کُرد در خراسان که دستی بر آتش ادبیات دارند نیز ، چند سالی است که در این قالب طبع آزمایی می کنند. تنها تفاوت مهم سه خشتی های معاصر کُردی با سه خشتی های سنتی ، این است که گاهی در تعداد هجاها زیاد شده اند.
