کتابی است خواندنی و بسیار جذاب. خیلی ناروشنی‌ها را دربارۀ زندگانی بختیار روشن می‌کند. نویسنده زحمت زیادی کشیده و کتابی واقعاً روشنگر و آموزنده و با نثری روان فراهم آورده. دوره‌ای از حیات بختیار را که با تاریخ جدید ایران گره خورده خوب توضیح می‌دهد. بی‌طرفانه به اوضاع تاریخی آن دوره نگاه کرده. نه بی‌جهت از بختیار و دیگران ستایش کرده و نه مغرضانه به آن ها ایراد گرفته.
