هدف از انتشار مجموعه کتاب‌های خودم می‌خوانم ترویج کتاب‌خوانی، افزایش لذت خواندن و ایجاد عادت به مطالعه در کودکان است.
نوسوادانِ کلاس اول، به تدریج که خواندن را می‌آموزند و با شکل حروف و صداها و کلمه‌ها آشنا می‌شوند؛ خواند توانست نوشته‌های ساده‌ی غیردرسی را هم بدون کمک گرفتن از دیگران می‌خوانند.
