با پدیدآمدن نشریات موسوم به دوم خردادی و به‎‌خصوص در فاصلۀ بین سال‎های 79 ـ 76 رفته رفته گرافیك و كاریكاتور سهم عمده‎‌ای در مطبوعات‎ پیدا كرد. هادی حیدری كه خود یكی از مشهورترین كاریكاتوریست‎‌های این دوره است سعی كرده تا در این اثر به بررسی كاریكاتورهای عرضه شده در مطبوعات (كه بعضاً بسیار جنجالی هم شدند) بپردازد و آنها را چه از حیث فرم و چه از نظر محتوا تحلیل كند.
