ایدهی اولیه این نمایش زمانی بهوجود آمد که در کنفرانسی در دانشگاه کلمبیا راجع به محکومین به اعدام، بحثهای دستاول دربارهی خشونت، شکنجه، فشار روحی و اعدام و اینکه بسیاری از انسانها بهاشتباه دستگیر و به اعدام محکوم شده بودند و بعد از ماهها و سالها بیگناهیشان به اثبات رسیده بود، مطرح شد...
