فلوریان زلر (1979 - ) نمایشنامه نویس، رمان نویس و کارگردان فرانسوی با اثر مشهورش، پدر ــ که فیلم آن را نیز خودش کارگردانی کرد ــ جایگاه ویژه و مهمی در سینما و تئاتر جهان به دست آورد. او در این اثر، ذهن و ضمیر انسان ها را چنان عمیق و تیزبینانه می شکافد که مخاطب ناگزیر از همذات پنداری با شخصیت ها می شود. تکنیک های روایی این اثر نیز در هماهنگیِ کامل با محتوای آن است و این نیز یکی دیگر از ویژگی های چشمگیر آن است.
