در مجموعه حاضر، زندگی نامه صمد بهرنگی (1318 - 1347) نقل و برخی از آثار وی نقد و تفسیر شده است. بیشتر حجم کتاب حاوی گفت و گوهایی است با بستگان و دوستان صمد که زندگینامه او از میان این گفت و گوها روایت شده است. در بخش پایانی کتاب تصاویری سیاه و سفید از صمد بهرنگی به طبع رسیده است
