در این پژوهش میخواهیم ببینیم داستان نویسی زنان ایرانی از کی آغاز شده، چه راههایی را پیموده، چه رفتارهایی داشته، و از کجاها سر درآورده است. تاریخچۀ این جریان ادبی را از ۱۳۰۹ که نخستین کتاب داستان بانویی ایرانی منتشر شد تا سالهای اخیر که شاخص مقایسۀ عدۀ نویسندگان مرد، که پنج برابر نویسندگان زن بود به یک ونیم برابر کاهش یافت، دوره بندی و دستاوردهای ادبیشان را ارزیابی کرده ایم.
