این مجموعه نزدیک به 5300 ضربالمثل فارسی و 700 ضربالمثل عربی را که در زبان فارسی وارد شدهاند، در بر میگیرد. منبع اصلی این ضربالمثلها چهار مجلد امثال و حکم علامه دهخداست. چنین مجموعهای با این حجم از ضربالمثل در زبان فارسی تا کنون تهیه نشده است و لذا میتوان گفت که این مجموعه در نوع خود بینظیر است.
