کلیله و دمنه را چند تن از بزرگان به نثر فارسی درآوردهاند. نامدارترینشان کارِ ابوالمعالی نصرالله بن عبدالحمید (نصرالله منشی) است. این ترجمه در نیمهی نخست سدهی ششام هجری برای بهرام شاه غزنوی فراهم شد که ترجمهای امین قلمداد نمیشود. خواندناش برای فارسی زبانان امروز بسی دشوار مینماید و به عنوان یکی از متون فارسی در آن دوره شایستهی بررسی است نه به عنوان ترجمهای از کلیله و دمنه.
