کتاب «از مسکو تا پیتوشکی» مهمترین اثر این نویسنده است. این کتاب در سال ۱۹۷۳ نخستین بار در اسرائیل و بعد در پاریس منتشر شد. در سال ۱۹۸۹، پس از «یخشدن آبها» و بداشته شدن «پردهی آهنین» برای نخستین بار در شوروی مجوز نشر یافت.
بر اساس این رمان، که خود نویسنده آن را منظومه میخواند، نمایشنامههای متعددی ساخته شده و خود کتاب به سی زبان ترجمه شده است. این نخستین بار است که رمان «از مسکو تا پیتوشکی» به زبان فارسی منتشر میشود.
